Privacy Notice

Filippos Alexidis operates Recipiq and is the data controller for the personal data described here. This notice explains what we collect, why, who we share it with and what rights you have.

What we collect and why

• Account data (email address, sign-in identifiers, display name) — to create and secure your account. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
• Content you add (links you paste, recipe text, uploaded videos and photos, saved recipes, collections, favourites) — to produce and store your recipes. Legal basis: contract.
• Usage and technical data (import counts, device and browser information, IP address, error logs) — to run the service, enforce plan limits, prevent abuse and fix problems. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Support messages — to answer you. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

Payment card details are handled by Stripe, not by us — we never see or store your card number.

Who we share it with

• Hosting, database and AI processing providers who operate the service on our behalf.
• Stripe, our payment processor, for sale of Premium, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

Some providers operate outside the EEA; where data is transferred, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Account and recipe data is kept while your account exists. Videos and photos you upload are used only to build the recipe and are deleted as soon as processing finishes. Delete a recipe and anything stored for it is removed; delete your account and we remove your personal data or anonymise it, except where we must keep records (for example, billing records) by law.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email support@cooking-capture.lovable.app and we'll respond within one month. If you are in the EEA or UK you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and per-account data isolation so only you can read your recipes.

Cookies and local storage

We use only essential cookies and local storage — to keep you signed in and to remember a recipe you created before signing up. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear them in your browser settings at any time.
